Financial Controller – Property Investment & Development

We are a growing, family-run property investment and development business seeking a hands-on Financial Controller to take ownership of our finance function.
This is a standalone role overseeing 50+ entities, working closely with Directors to drive financial accuracy, controls, and growth.
We are looking for someone who has good tax planning experience in the UK.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day finance across multiple entities
- Oversee AP/AR, ledgers, and intercompany transactions
- Implement financial processes and controls
- Prepare financial data for external accountants
- Monitor budgets, costs, and VAT compliance
- Support refinancing and lender requirements
Requirements:
- Experience in multi-entity finance (property sector preferred)
- Strong intercompany accounting and VAT knowledge
- Xero (or similar) experience
- Highly organised, detail-focused, and proactive
