About the Role

Sole UK national is needed please - Candidates do not need to have SC clearance already in place before joining us. However, they must have their SC clearance application submitted and in progress prior to their start date.


Our client, a distinguished leader in the technology sector servicing Defence & Security industries, is currently seeking a Head of IT to join their team on a permanent basis.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement the organisation's ICT strategy aligned with business objectives
  • Lead digital transformation and technology improvement programmes
  • Advise senior leadership on emerging technologies, risks, and opportunities
  • Ensure ICT policies, standards, and governance frameworks are effective and compliant
  • Oversee the design, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of ICT infrastructure
  • Ensure high availability and performance of networks, servers, cloud platforms, telecommunications, and business systems
  • Manage ICT service delivery against agreed service level agreements (SLAs)
  • Lead business continuity, disaster recovery, and resilience planning
Job Requirements:
  • Significant senior-level ICT management experience
  • Experience developing and implementing ICT strategies
  • Proficiency in managing infrastructure, applications, cybersecurity, and service delivery functions
  • Experience leading teams and managing budgets
  • Proven track record of delivering complex ICT projects and transformation initiatives
  • Knowledge of ICT infrastructure, cloud technologies, networking, and enterprise systems
  • Familiarity with cybersecurity frameworks and risk management principles
  • Understanding of data protection and regulatory compliance requirements
