The Role

Due to continued growth, they are now looking for a Technical Project Manager to join their expanding delivery team. This is a broad, dynamic role sitting right between technical design, project delivery, client management, and commercial decision-making. You will step into a senior full-time position within a collaborative three-person technical team-supported by both junior technicians and a veteran 30-year technical freelancer-meaning your leadership will truly shape the success of their large-scale installations.

This is a varied role where the Technical Project Manager will use all of their AV and project management skills and experience, including:

• End-to-End Project Management: Leading the successful execution of complex commercial AV integration projects from initial client brief through to final sign-off.
• Proactively rolling up your sleeves to fix a projector on-site, test signals, or resolve real-time equipment issues in the field to minimize downtime.
• Managing project timelines, budgets, scope, and labour resources across multiple concurrent live and permanent installations.
• Reviewing and validating system designs, equipment lists, and engineering drawings.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for blue-chip clients, translating complex technical concepts into understandable terms.
• Working closely with in-house creative, 3D/real-time production, and build teams, as well as external suppliers.
• Maintaining detailed project documentation, including installation notes, change orders, and redline drawings.

The Candidate

Candidates should ideally be working as a Technical Project Manager or be a senior technician with excellent client-facing skills looking to step up into a senior project delivery role. Most importantly, we are looking for a true team player who embraces the flexibility of a smaller business environment. You need to be just as comfortable discussing a long-term commercial project strategy for 2027 as you are diving in to help troubleshoot an equipment issue on the ground.

While a strong technical background in AV is required (particularly video solutions), you don't need to be an absolute expert in every platform, as long as you understand the language, you will learn the rest as you settle into the job with the support of the team.

• Essential: Strong technical AV knowledge, a collaborative attitude, flexibility, and the ability to read, interpret, and tweak CAD plans.
• Nice to Have: Familiarity or interest in platforms like Pixera, Unreal Engine, NVIDIA mosaics, or LIDAR. Genuine CAD skills are highly favourable but can be developed on the job.
