PHP Developer - Insurance Industry
Location: London (On-site 4 days a week)
Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 per annum
About the Role:
We are looking for a talented PHP Developer to join our growing team at a leading insurance company in London. This is an exciting opportunity to develop and maintain web applications that drive our business operations. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, contributing to scalable and high-quality solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and enhance web applications using PHP and Laravel
- Collaborate with designers, product managers, and developers to build robust solutions
- Troubleshoot and debug technical issues efficiently
- Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code
- Participate in code reviews to ensure best practices and high coding standards
- Optimise application performance and responsiveness
- Maintain databases and integrate third-party APIs as needed
Key Skills & Experience:
- Proficiency in PHP with experience in the Laravel framework
- Strong knowledge of MySQL and database management
- Experience with RESTful APIs and third-party integrations
- Familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS
- Understanding of Git for version control
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and within a collaborative environment
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with Docker and/or CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with AWS or Azure cloud platforms
- Exposure to insurance or financial services industry projects
