Senior Backend Developer
Location: London - Hybrid (Remote & Office-Based)

Their online platform streamlines the process of finding and booking accommodations, offering a diverse range of options tailored to different needs.

Key Requirements:
We are looking for a skilled and experienced Backend Developer with expertise in Python, MySQL, and system architecture, particularly in high-performance and scalable environments for consumer-facing web and mobile applications.
Must-have skills and experience:
- Strong proficiency in Python and experience with web frameworks such as Django and Flask within a microservices architecture
- Solid background in software architecture and hands-on coding skills
- Proficiency in TypeScript and GraphQL
- Experience with ElasticSearch for indexing and search functionalities
- Familiarity with MySQL and NoSQL databases
- Expertise in building RESTful APIs and integrating third-party services in SaaS-based applications
- Experience with RabbitMQ or other message brokers for asynchronous processing and integration
- Strong understanding of testing frameworks (e.g., PyTest)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevOps best practices
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably AWS)
- Passion for automation, including unit and performance testing
- Strong code review and mentoring abilities to support and guide engineering teams
Nice-to-have skills:
- Experience in team leadership or line management
- Exposure to AI/ML technologies (e.g., OpenAI, machine learning frameworks)

- Ensuring high performance, security, and scalability across all systems
