2nd Line IT Support Engineer

Location: Cheltenham (Hybrid Working)
Salary: £32,000 - £35,000
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

About the Role:

Our client, an established and growing Managed Service Provider, is looking for a 2nd Line IT Support Engineer to join their expanding team in Cheltenham.

What You'll Do:

• Provide 2nd line support across desktop, server and cloud environments
• Troubleshoot and resolve escalated technical issues
• Support Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Active Directory
• Diagnose networking issues including DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP and firewalls
• Assist with infrastructure upgrades, cloud migrations and IT projects
• Support backup solutions and business continuity systems
• Maintain accurate documentation and manage tickets within agreed SLAs
• Deliver outstanding customer service to a diverse client base

What We're Looking For:

• Previous experience in a 2nd Line IT Support role
• MSP experience is highly desirable
• Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365, Windows Server and Active Directory
• Good understanding of networking fundamentals
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and customer service abilities
• A proactive attitude with a passion for technology and continuous learning
