The Role

As a Marketing Automation Engineer, you will sit at the intersection of marketing and technology, building automated customer journeys and integrating data across platforms to improve engagement, retention and conversion.

Responsibilities include:

• Building and optimising automated email journeys for acquisition, retention and reactivation campaigns
• Developing and maintaining customer audience integrations across CRM, data warehouse and advertising platforms
• Creating and managing conversion tracking and data feeds for paid media channels
• Building API integrations and automated workflows using JavaScript and Node.js
• Supporting remarketing campaigns across Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising and Meta
• Monitoring automation performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing enhancements
• Working closely with marketing, engineering and data teams to deliver measurable business outcomes
• Ensuring compliance with privacy, consent and customer data management requirements
• Measuring campaign performance and contributing to ongoing testing and optimisation initiatives

Your Skills & Experience

• Strong commercial experience in marketing automation, CRM engineering or marketing technology roles
• Hands-on JavaScript and Node.js development experience
• Strong SQL skills and experience working with customer and transactional data
• Experience building API integrations and automated data workflows
• Knowledge of server-side conversion tracking and advertising platform integrations
• Experience creating automated customer journeys, personalisation and testing programmes
• Understanding of HTML/CSS for email template troubleshooting and optimisation
• Experience with Google Ads, Microsoft Advertising, Meta or other paid media platforms
• Ability to translate marketing requirements into scalable technical solutions
• Experience with platforms such as Salesforce, BigQuery, Klaviyo, SendGrid or similar is advantageous
