Senior Technical Learning Specialist – Data & AI | Remote | £60,000 - £90,000 | Permanent, Full-Time

This is a senior trainer role for a data scientist or AI specialist who wants to spend their time teaching. You’ll deliver Data Science, GenAI and Python training to technical and non-technical professionals at a wide range of organisations, and help design the next generation of AI courses. The team sits within one of the UK’s major tech training providers. Most delivery is virtual, with some sessions at training centres and client sites.

The role:

• Deliver instructor-led training in Data Science, GenAI, machine learning and Python, mostly virtually with some in-person sessions
• Tailor complex technical content to mixed audiences, from engineers and data scientists to business stakeholders
• Act as a subject matter expert on client programmes and internal projects in your specialism
• Bring your own expertise to the design and development of new AI and data courses
• Keep learner satisfaction scores consistently high, use feedback to improve your delivery, and observe peers to support their development
• Keep your certifications current and stay on top of emerging tools, especially in GenAI and agentic AI

We’re looking for:

• Advanced Python, including NumPy, Pandas and Scikit-learn, with hands-on experience building, training and deploying ML models
• Strong practical knowledge of GenAI, including prompt engineering, LLM optimisation, multimodal AI and agentic AI systems
• Experience using machine learning, statistical modelling and GenAI to solve real business problems
• Proven ability to teach complex technical content in an engaging way, whether that comes from formal training, workshops, mentoring or team enablement
• Awareness of data governance, ethics and responsible AI
• Eligibility for Enhanced DBS and BPSS clearance

Desirable:

• Experience with PyTorch, TensorFlow, LangGraph, R or Java
• Experience with Spark, Databricks or similar distributed data platforms, and exposure to MLOps
• Experience of AWS, Azure or GCP AI/ML services, ideally with vendor certifications
• An MSc or PhD in Data Science, AI, Computer Science, Maths or a related field, or NVIDIA Deep Learning Institute certifications
