As a Senior SOC Engineer, you'll work across automation, DevOps, data, reporting and cloud technologies to improve operational efficiency and engineering maturity.

Hybrid: Farnborough 3 days per week, 2 days home based.

SC Cleared or eligible.

What You'll Be Doing:

  • Design and develop automation solutions, scripts and engineering workflows.
  • Drive AI-assisted engineering practices and help shape responsible AI adoption.
  • Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps and Git-based workflows.
  • Develop dashboards, reporting solutions and operational insights using Power BI and other tooling.
  • Work with Azure services to create scalable and reliable engineering solutions.
  • Improve data quality, transformation processes and reporting accuracy.
  • Support the evolution of engineering standards, governance and best practice.
  • Collaborate with security, service and operational teams to identify and deliver improvements.

What you will bring:

  • Strong experience within engineering, automation, DevOps, reporting or operational improvement roles.
  • Scripting and development expertise using PowerShell, Python or similar languages.
  • Experience building automation workflows and repeatable technical processes.
  • Azure DevOps experience including repositories, pipelines, version control and release processes.
  • Strong understanding of CI/CD, Git and software engineering best practices.
  • Experience creating dashboards and visualisations using Power BI, Excel or similar tools.
  • Familiarity with APIs, data integrations and structured data sources
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Azure and cloud-based engineering principles.

It would be great if you had:

  • Experience in Cyber Security, SOC or Security Engineering environments.
  • Microsoft Sentinel experience.
  • KQL, SQL or other query language knowledge.
  • Power BI data modelling, DAX and Power Query experience.
  • Logic Apps, Power Automate or Azure Automation.
  • Terraform or Infrastructure as Code tooling.
  • Experience developing operational reporting and management information.
  • Relevant certifications in Cloud, DevOps, Automation, AI or Cyber Security.

This role offers the opportunity to influence the future direction of SOC engineering by combining cutting-edge automation, AI-assisted practices and cloud technologies within a national security-focused environment.

You'll work alongside highly skilled cyber professionals, tackle complex technical challenges and help build innovative solutions that make a real operational impact.

If you're excited by automation, engineering excellence and the future of AI-enabled cyber operations, we'd love to hear from you.
