The Role

As Software Development Team Lead, you will lead a small, multi-skilled development team responsible for building and enhancing complex, business-critical software products.

This is a hands-on technical leadership position, combining day-to-day team leadership with software development, technical decision-making and delivery. You will support and mentor developers, help establish engineering standards and remain closely involved in designing, developing and improving the underlying software.

The technology environment includes C#, C++ and Unity. You do not need experience with all three technologies, but you must have strong, recent hands-on commercial experience with at least two of them.

The software involves mathematically complex functionality, so experience developing algorithms, statistical models, simulations or other maths-led applications will be particularly important.

What’s Required?

The ideal candidate for the Software Development Team Lead role will have:

• Strong, recent hands-on commercial development experience with at least two of C#, C++ and Unity

• Experience leading, mentoring or providing technical direction to a software development team

• A background in developing algorithms, statistical models, simulations or other mathematically complex software

• The ability and willingness to remain hands-on with software development alongside team leadership responsibilities
